A battle of the Peninsular War , with Arthur Wellesley, Earl (later duke) of Wellington, with his Britih) Portugese- Spanish army facing Franch Marshal Auguste Marmont.
Both commanders had each about 50.000 soldiers. After days of manouvering, Marmont thougth he could turn Wellingtons flank and marched his divisions westwards. Wellington had decided the prvios day to withdraw to anoter position, and came aware both armies were maching parralele to each other, the allied forces on the inside line. The Earl immediately ordered the major part of his army to attack the overextended French left wing on the march.

- Siegfried : Cavalry Div. Lt Gen Sir John Stapleton Cotton
- Peter : 3th Div. Maj Gen Edward Pakenham
The hill at the end of the table is the Greater Arapile. The building at the beginning of the table is Miranda de Azan. Center left is the town of Los Arapiles.
Ronny, with the 2nd divison - Clausel- was the only deployed, facing the Alied 4th and 5th div.
Geert with the French 8th div. faced Kristof with the 6th div over the Greater Arapile
Both Alberik and Jonathan, facing the British cavalry Div, went into squares, with part of their batalions.
Possession of the Arapile hill changed side twice
Ronny was able to holding of the attacks from 2 divisions for a while, being reinforced by elements of the div. from Dirk.
The only French cavalry present was the light Cav. div. , controled by Alberik, and charging the Rifles.
The squares of French 5th and 7th division received several turns deathly artillery fire.
Siegried, waited for his cavalry charges untill the squares were
waivering to launch his attack with the heavy dragoons. They themselves also had received losses from artillery fire. A square and a battery were destroyed by he charge, but the dragoons were waisted. Alberik came under pressure from Peter, and the charges of his light cav. division didn't bring relief.
Both divisions of Ronny and Jonathan were closing their breaking point, while Geert had lost the battle for the greater Arapile Hill.
It was time to admit defeat for the French players.
