Zulu battle in 28 mm : the battle of Baqamekele Epayintini

Bart Organized at his home a Zulu game with his 28 mm figures.

Warned by scouts, the British troops formed a hasty defence with carts and goods.
Scenario was the Zulu would only be visible when they left the first row of squares.
The firepower of the British proved to be heavy, but the numbers of the Zulu warriors was too big.
Once in close contact, the British had also many casualties, but succeeded into pushing the Zulu units out of their defences for several turns, but the Zulu units kept flooding in .
On the British left the firepower of the regulars and scouts stalled the Zulu progress also for several turns, and even a charge by the lancers inflicted casualties, but the latter had to pull back from the fight.
In the end British resistance collapsed, only the cavalry escaping the onslaught.
Peter and Steven as British players. Mark as Zulu player assisted by Bart and Dirk for moving al those Zulu figures.

For some mysterious reason I, sadly, can NOT post reactions to possible comments.
My login email works fine, thats how I post the articles. I have no clue on what prevents me from placing comment reactions. Sorry guys, hope to solve it but for now, just accept my excuses fot this.
The bridge is scratchbuild from wood in the seventies in the previous century. The jeep above is a Dinky Toys US Jeep in a special issued version. The FLAK 88 as well, is a Dinky.

Last summer Zululand games impressions

Every holiday I plan games with my game-pals. In case no one isavailable I set up tables that I can conclude on my own. Below you’ll find photographs from several such events either with or without fysical opponents.

Figures are mostly A Call To Arms. Some other brands are represented as well, though in small numbers (Replicants, Britains, Del Prado, Jean Hoefler). Table is small, just half a tabletennis field. Different scenarios are pictured in a mixed succession order; -Stranded (with a broken wheel)-, -Get of my land- and -Portugese intermingle-, spring to my mind, now months later. Backdrop is painted by me and features the skyline around Rorke’s Drift mission post. Zulu shields are the most demanding paint subjects, based on experience. Red markers for pinned.
