1914-1918 pictures by Ltd Jérôme Renneboog

Het stadsarchief van de stad Aalst plaatst 700 foto’s uit de Eerste Wereldoorlog online. Het gaat om een unieke collectie van de Aalsterse apothekerszoon Jérôme Renneboog, die in 1914 werd gemobiliseerd en na veel omzwervingen aansluiting vond bij het Belgisch leger aan het IJzerfront. In 1915 werd hij gewond en kwam hij in een militair hospitaal terecht. Na zijn herstel bleef hij werken als apotheker. 

The city archives of the city of Aalst placed 700 photographs from the Great War online. It is a unique collection of Aalst pharmacists son Jérôme Renneboog, whowas mobilized in 1914 and after many wanderingsjoint the Belgian army to Yzer Front. In 1915 he was injured and he remained  in a military hospital for  a long time . After his recovery he continued to work as a pharmacist.
