Viking raid game in 54mm : 20/05/2018

Team member Patrick VDB designed a viking raid game  played on a hexagone field.

Ships are Playmobil drakars.

The idea was each of the viking teams should collect as much as booty possible .
Booty could be lifstock, people (as slaves), money, etc.
As the attack is suposed to be launched at daybreack, visibility increases each turn, as is the possibility of  the alarm to be sounded. In the Abbey, it's the tocsin.

When th vikingarted from the beach entered the abbey, the alarm bell was sounded, and the soldiers and knights in the castle started to prepare a sortie.

But instead of only finding monks in the abbay, there were also some soldiers in the church.

Soon the reinfrocements from the castle showed up.

Also in the village, sodiers and knights were hidden, given som confusion.

Overpowerd by the numbers of vikings and shacken by the the death of the castle lord and most of the knights, the remaining soldiers fled, enidng the game

As it was a very first time test of Patricks rule, the game not always went fluently, contact rule to complicated and logic that escaped the other players.  Some rewriting to do.

  1. Looks like a fun game despite the rules testing. I'll bet it goes much more smoothly next time. I love the Medieval buildings and the Playmobil longship!
